Dr. Kelly Carden
Medical Director, Sleep Center at StoneCrest
Dr. Carden joined the Sleep Centers of Middle Tennessee, PLLC in December 2007 after working at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Sleep Health Centers in Boston. She was born and raised in Tennessee and attended Vanderbilt University and University of Tennessee School of Medicine. After her Internal Medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, she completed her Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine fellowships at Harvard Medical School.
She is a diplomat of the American Board of Sleep Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), the ABIM subspecialty boards of Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, and the new ABIM subspecialty board in Sleep Medicine. She currently holds 5 board certifications.
Dr. Carden is actively involved in the American Academy of Sleep Medicine as the vice-chair of the Healthcare Policy Committee and a member of the Presidential Committee on Compliance and Coding. She is a nationally known speaker and author and is considered to be a thought leader in the field of sleep medicine. She and her husband recently welcomed the birth of their first child. When she has free time, she enjoys traveling, photography, reading, and writing.
